Two illegal buildings sealed

Amritsar, July 1

The Municipal Town Planning wing of the Municipal Corporation has sealed two illegal buildings under its ongoing drive against illegal buildings.
A team led by the Municipal Town Planner (MTP), Narinder Sharma, raided the walled city area and sealed an under construction commercial building near the Jallianwala Bagh area. The team comprising Assistant Town Planner (ATP) Lakhbir Singh, Inspector Manjit Singh and Harbans Lal raided an under construction hotel at Lakkar Mandi and sealed the building.
Narinder Sharma, MTP, said, “Every one needs to get the architecture plan passed before starting the construction of a building. We will not allow anyone to violate the rules. No one would be exempted”.
The MC has sealed around six buildings during the past few days. The Municipal Town Planning wing has been conducting a fresh survey to identify the illegal
“We will serve notices on owners of illegal buildings soon and the sealing drive will continue,” said Sharma.
