Amritsar, June 5

The Special Task Force has arrested three persons for drug peddling. The accused have been identified as Mandeep Singh of Mohkampura, Chainchal Singh of Sanjay Gandhi Colony and Jasbir Singh of Mahindra Colony on Batala road.
The police recovered 260 gm of heroin, valued at Rs 1.25 crore in the international black market. A case under Section 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against them.
“Raids are on to arrest their accomplices who used to supply them drugs. We are hoping to break a major drug cartel and therefore divulging any details would hamper the investigations,” said DSP BK Singla.
