The Department of Biotechnology of DAV College, Amritsar, organised an intra-department science festival themed ‘explore’.
Students participated in events, like brain worm, catch the dash, ‘aage kuan peechhe khai’ and unleash the secret. The motive of the festival was to carve out the hidden talent among students and appreciate their hard work.
Manpreet Kaur, Tania Arora, Neha Gulati and Gurwinder Singh won the competition of brain worm. Rebekah Amar, Diksha and Bhawna Kashyap won the ‘catch the dash’ event. Free books were distributed among students who brought laurels to the college by securing merit positions.
Principal Rajesh Kumar said such activities were very important in developing intellectual skills among students and preparing them to face the challenges of life.
Vikas Gupta, head of the department, said the aim was to give exposure to students about the latest updates in the scientific world.
