Sathiala petrol pump employee robbed

Two unidentified miscreants robed a petrol pump employee at Sathiala village here last evening. The accused were travelling in a car and got fuel filled in it.

Later, they took out a pistol and took away Rs 6,000 cash from the petrol pump employee while threatening to shoot him dead. The victim, identified as Paramjit Singh of Sathiala village, informed the petrol pump owner, Naveen Arora, about the incident.

The police have registered a case under Sections 379-B (2) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code against unknown robbers in this connection.

In the complaint lodged with the police, he said he along with his colleague Jagat Ram was present at the petrol pump when two persons, travelling in a white-coloured Maruti car, got filled petrol worth Rs 500 in it. One of the accused went inside the bathroom. He said, on his return, he demanded money for the petrol filled. Paramjitsaid the accused took out a pistol and asked him to hand over the cash while threatening to shoot him. Later, they fled away with the money.

In a recent incident, a petrol pump manager was shot dead when unidentified persons attacked him and looted Rs 4.50 lakh from him. The police were yet to crack the case.
