‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ at Guru Nanak Dev University

A programme ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ was organised here today at the Dasmesh Auditorium of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), which was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of “Quit India Movement” and the 70th anniversary of Independence of the country. A large number of students and teachers participated in the programme. The event was organised by the university on the instructions of the Government of India.

Prof SS Behl, dean, students welfare, was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr Jagjit Kaur, director, welcomed the chief guest and others. The programme started with recital of shabad ‘Deh Shiva Bar Mohe Ehe’ followed by patriotic songs by the Music Department of the university. Swastik Rock Band gave performance of songs dedicated to the great India. A special pledge session for students was organised to build new India by 2022. Participants pledged to make India free of poverty, corruption, terrorism, communalism, casteism and clean. TNS
