Revolver stolen in Amritsar

 A man has filed a complaint with the police, in which he told the police that his revolver had been stolen from the car parking at a local mall here on Monday. Complainant Harpal Singh said, “I went to Alpha Mall with my friend and I carried my revolver along with me at the mall. Security guards at the mall did not allow me to enter the mall with the revolver. So I put it in the dickey of my motorcycle parked in the basement. When I returned, I saw that the revolver was stolen.” The police have registered a case in this regard.
Thieves decamp with cash, gold
Some unidentified persons stuck at a house in the B Division area and decamped with cash, gold and other valuables. Victim Hari Om Joshi stated that he, along with his family members, was sleeping at the roof of his house. He said some unknown persons entered his house and decamped with Rs 1.32 lakh in cash, a cellphone, two gold rings and a set of silver anklets from his house. A case has been registered at the B-Division Police Station in this regard.
Two held for lifting vehicles
The city police have arrested two persons for lifting vehicles. A motorcycle has been recovered from them. The accused have been identified as Surjit Singh, alias Situ, a resident of Dhun village and Pavittar Singh, alias Lally, of Jhabal village in Tarn Taran. The accused were arrested on a tip-off. A case under Sections 379 and 411 of the IPC has been registered at the C Division Police station.
