PSPCL staff protest privatisation

Amritsar, June 7

Members of the Technical Service Union, an organisation under the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), today held a protest at the circle office against the government for not accepting their demands.
The union members stated that they they were against closing of thermal power plant, shutting down of transformer repair workshop and sought immediate stopping of privatisation of the corporation. They handed over a memorandum of their demands to MLA Tarsem Singh DC to be submitted to CM Capt Amarinder Singh. They also demanded regular jobs for contractual staff. — TNS
