Punjab State Pharmacists Association organised a seminar to discuss problems being faced by pharmacists on International Pharmacy Day here yesterday evening.
Civil Surgeon Dr Narinder Kaur was the chief guest. The key note address during the seminar was presented by Dr Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, head of pharmaceuticals department of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU).
Dr Bedi said pharmacists had an important role to play in health services and they must be aware of their duties towards patients. Problems related to drugs as overdose and side effects were also covered in the address. He stressed pharmacists should keep them updated about the new research in the field as it would help them serve better.
Association president Shamsher Singh Kohri and general secretary Ashok Sharma said various events were being organised as part of social outreach programme.
