Students of DAV Public School observed World Nature Conservation Day with great zeal on Friday. The day is observed worldwide to create awareness on protecting the natural resources. The students, through a short play, stressed that nature was facing huge problems like deforestation, pollution, poaching among others, thus taking its toll on life. They suggested ways to conserve nature.
They took a pledge to save nature and follow green lifestyle. Regional Director, Punjab Zone – A, Neelam Kamra and school manager Rajesh Kumar, principal of DAV College, Hathi Gate, said there was an urgent need to change our casual approach and join hands to conserve nature. Principal Neera Sharma said efficient usage of resources must be promoted. — TNS
