Three unidentified miscreants robbed a liquor vend at Fatehgarh Sukarchaka village here on gun point last evening. The accused decamped with Rs 45,335 in cash and the mobile phone of a worker.
In his complaint at the Kambo police station, Sahib Singh, a worker at the liquor vend stated that he had been working at the liquor vend at Fatehgarh Sukarchaka village for a long time.
Yesterday, around 5:15 pm, three clean-shaven youths came at the vend on a bike. They demanded beer. When he was taking out the chilled bear from the ice box, the miscreants entered the vend and put the pistol on his forehead. Sahib Singh, the complainant, stated that the accused took his wallet and the mobile phone from his pocket. Then they took cash from the cash box and locked him inside a room. The accused managed to flee from the spot.
As per the complainant, he made efforts to break open the door of the vend to come out. After coming out, he counted the cash and found that the accused had robbed Rs 45,335 from the cash box.
On the complaint of victim, the police has registered a case under Sections 382 and 34 of the IPC and Sections 25, 27, 54, 59 of the Arms Act.
Subash Chandar, the ASI at the Kambo police station, said, “We are investigating the matter from all angles. The accused would be arrested soon”. — TNS
