Office-bearers of the Amritsar Metro Bus service claimed that they have received the budget to pay the fuel bill to Punjab Roadways Depot. The buses went off the roads on April 28 due to non-payment of fuel bills.

Harbans Singh, in charge, Metro Bus services, said, “We have received the budget from Chandigarh and the pending bill amount has been paid to Punjab Roadways. Diesel would be filled in the buses this evening and the service would be restored tomorrow”. The BRTS Operating Company used to get diesel for the Metro Buses from Punjab Roadways Depot—2 in the city.
