Govt schools hold summer camps

Toeing the line of the private schools, several government schools held summer camps for the overall personality development of students.

The Education Department has announced summer vacation from June 1. Several primary schools in the district began summer camps on their premises on June 1 that were concluded today.

One such camp was held at Government Elementary School, Tirathpur. School in-charge Pankaj Kumar said teachers and students voluntarily decided to hold the camp. He said students were taught through playway method.

Students also liked to visit schools without uniform and bags. The day in a summer camp starts at 7 am and concludes at 10 am. It is filled with various activities like yoga, folk dance, clay modelling and chart making. Movies were also shown to students.
