To improve the working of the government schools, the District Education Officer (secondary) has issued instructions to the school heads.
As per the instructions, the school heads will have to ensure that generators sets are in a working condition and computers in their institutions. Each school head has to make sure that the employees concerned are doing their duty properly and retired employees get all benefits.
The Education Department has also asked the school heads that classes should be held under the roof in case of lack of rooms. The art and craft room must be utilised for the said purpose.
On the provision of mid-day meal in the school, the quality of food must be checked and any kind of disparity must be brought to the notice of higher officials, the instruction said.
It has also been made mandatory for the schools to upload their details regarding the number of teachers and students in a specific time on the e-Punjab school portal.
