DLSA secretary inspects jail in Amritsar

She apprised the inmates about free legal aid services available for them. She also inspected barracks, including those of women inmates. She questioned the officials concerned about the issues she came to know about. She talked to inmates and listened to their grievances. The jail authorities were asked to come up with a solution to the problems being faced by them. Earlier, the DLSA organised training of para-legal volunteers at the Alternate Disputes Redressal Centre. TNS
Shivpreet Pannu represents India in Singapore
Shivpreet Pannu from Spring Dale Senior School  competed with sport climbers from different Asian countries in the Asian Youth Championship of Sport Climbing held at Singapore, recently. Giving details, Rajiv Kumar Sharma, principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said Shivpreet Pannu represented India in this championship. “In the past too, she has participated in various district, state, and national level sport climbing events and has won laurels,” he said. Kirat Sandhu Cheema, director, Spring Dale Senior  School, and Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, president, Spring Dale Educational Society, said the school was proud of her achievement. TNS
