The newly-appointed District Education Officer (Secondary) Sunita Kiran held a meeting with her staff at her office here today.
The DEO directed the officials to complete the pending work without delay. She said the quality of education and infrastructure at government schools should be improved.
She said, “It is our duty to improve the quality of education in this belt. As per the directions of the higher authorities, the work to improve the infrastructure will be taken up soon. We will begin with whitewashing.”
Meanwhile, officials apprised her of their concerns.
According to Sunita, “All staff members are required to perform their duties with utmost honesty. No one should be harassed because of work delay from our side.” Deputy DEO Rajesh Sharma, junior stenographer Parmod Midha, assistants and superintendents were present.
