DC bans hookah bars

The orders would remain in force till August 19. In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the DC said smoking was injurious to health and functioning of hookah bars in the city would be dealt strictly. He said the Civil Surgeon had brought to his notice that several hookah bars were running in the city which were making the youth addicted to tobacco. The DC said tobacco laced with drugs were used in these bars which was every dangerous for society. The Civil Surgeon told the DC that the hookah bars also do not adhere to rules and regulations.
