Amritsar, July 24

“Almighty has blessed me with an opportunity to serve the people of the Majha region who were earlier looted by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and now constrained to face the wrath of oppressive policies of the Congress-led state government,” said Kanwarpreet Singh Kaki here today.
Kaki, who has been recently appointed in charge of Majha zone of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), paid obeisance at Golden Temple and Durgiana Mandir.
He was accompanied by party’s state vice-president Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, member, state disciplinary committee Inderbir Singh Nijjer, state general secretaries Kuljit Singh, Harinder Singh, Bhupinder Singh Bittu, Dalbir Singh Tong and Lakhbir Singh.
“The volunteers who have toiled day and night for the party are held in high esteem and every effort will be made to bring the disgruntled volunteers back into the party’s fold,” he said.
While the Congress promised 100 per cent debt waiver for farmers, it has taken a U-turn, he said.
According to Kaki, Capt had promised to finish the drug trade within one month drug peddlers have been doing their business fearlessly. “AAP will ensure that the Congress fulfills its promises, failing which statewide stir will be launched against the government,” he added.
