Clinical psychology centre for university

The authorities of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) are planning to open a clinical psychology centre on the university premises as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission.

The centre in pipeline is one of the projects of the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor (VC), Guru Nanak Dev University, Prof Jaspal Singh Sandhu. The centre will be opened for university students for counselling as well as other purposes. The centre shall ensure that students of the university have a space to talk about their issues to an expert.

“The university will have a clinical psychology centre. We are in search for a qualified counsellor for the same. This centre will not be restricted for our students, but will be also be open for the general public at a nominal cost. The timings shall be specified for them. This will happen soon,” said the VC.

“Apart from this a movie club will also be started for students staying in hostels of the university to entertain them as well give more information. Movies will be screened on specific days for the club,” he added.
