Amritsar, August 4

Raj Kumar Verka, former vice-chairman of the National SC Commission and Congress MLA, today demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing the Central Government of insulting Dr BR Ambedkar by installing “objectionable” hoardings. Verka, while addressing a press conference here, said, “The hoardings installed by the Central Government show Dr Ambedkar lifting garbage. Such hoardings have come up at the railway station in Delhi. Dr Ambedkar wanted an educated India while the government has tried to insult him. Such hoardings should be removed.”
