The Punjab Natshala today staged the 234th show of its iconic play “Mirch Masala”. The Punjabi play is based on the lives of three bachelors who want to marry women of their dreams, their aspirations and the preconceived notions attached with their bachelor life in society. The play is a comic satire.
It is written by Jatinder Brar and directed by Narinder Sanghi. It is the home-production of the Punjab Natshala. The show has been running for the past many years. It had seen an appearance by famous comedians Bharti Singh and Rajiv Thakur. The idea of the play highlights the idea of life and how a proper balance has to be achieved in life to live in the best possible way. The play will be staged for two days from 6.30 pm onwards with a Rs 100 ticket.
The Punjab Natshala authorities claimed that it was one of the longest-running shows on the stage. In 2015, “Mirch Masala” was revived with continuous shows. It was first staged in 2001 and was later reinvented with modern technology and effects.
