Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) celebrated its 16th foundation day by taking out a cycle health rally for spreading road safety awareness and to make the city pollution free here today. More than 125 people participated in rally.
It started from Ram Bagh, popularly known as Company Bagh, and concluded at Khalsa College.
ADCP (City-1) Charanjit Singh, flagged off the rally. He said at a time when the country in particular and the world in general are confronted with natural disasters, pollution and climate change, the best way to arrest the disturbing trend is taking to cycling. Cycling helps keep the environment clean by reducing pollution, ensures good health and also prevents accidents. “The best way to maintain a good health, beat traffic snarls, prevent accidents and minimize pollution is pedaling a cycle,” the ADCP said.
